Yanik served in a consulting capacity after selection by the administration and hospital board of trustees. Yanik’s assignment was to provide Riverwood Healthcare Center (RHC) comprehensive and integrated services leading to successful project delivery within a specified budget.
Yanik’s services included: special assistance related to 2010 submission to the USDA for ARRA Stimulus Funds; management of the design and construction process through completion including: supervision of site planning, budget development, contract development, project specifications, design coordination, and project management.
The Project includes: Expansion of the current hospital to allow for conversion of all patient rooms to single occupancy; the creation of new and separate additions for labor and delivery, as well as a new intensive care unit. Additionally, the physical and rehabilitation therapy was expanded along with the completion of a new and expanded infusion unit. Benefits include improved access to and expansion of patient and family waiting areas for the surgical suites while Emergency Department capability will be expanded during peak times.
A key component of the overall project is the construction of a new administrative building which consolidates the majority of the Hospital’s offsite services and other administrative units. This addition frees up critical inpatient hospital space, and provides expansion space for future additions enabling expanded patient care. This two story addition was designed for expansion to three stories when needed in the future.
