The addition will have a full finished basement of poured concrete wall structure. The first floor will have public spaces, surgery, and emergency receiving and treatment areas. The second floor will have inpatient rooms with support spaces.
There will be a helistop on the rooftop. Building materials consist of concrete floor and roof decks on steel deck base, steel joist and beam structure. The interior finishes are Gypsum wallboard with vinyl wall covering and painted finishes.
Bids have been received and awarded. Construction began in August 2010 and both the new and remodeled spaces are expected to be completed by September 2012.
